Chalk and Chalk Bags


When climbing, mountaineering or abseiling, keeping your grip couldn’t be more important, and the further you go, the more energy you use and the more you sweat. Moist hands could lead to a slip which could prevent your progress, or at worst put you in danger. You can manage this risk by carrying chalk to keep your hands dry. You can keep a chalk bag around your waist (many bags can be quickly attached to a belt) and simply take a handful of chalk onto your hands if necessary.
