What is Pilates?

Pilates combines yoga, gym stretching, core strength and dance exercises. The Pilates method is a gentle method which consists of performing exercises based on the thoracic breathing specific to Gym Pilates. The goal is to take deep breaths during each movement in order to work and strengthen our deep muscles (abdominal belt, back muscles ...) The Pilates method is recommended to work your muscles in depth, have a flat stomach, relieve back pain and improve the overall health of people. There are three types: Stott Pilates, Power and Yoga Pilates. Whether you are a beginner or experienced user in pilates, our range caters to all levels. Our range includes: pilates equipment such as dumbbells and resistance bands, apparel for menwomen, and other pilates accessories

What is Stretching?

Just like Pilates, Stretching is a form of gentle gym. Stretching is a sport which consists of working the elasticity of the muscles by performing stretching exercises. Often practiced by athletes to prepare themselves before or after an effort, it is an accessible sport and recommended for all and at all ages.

What is Pilates Breathing?

Breathing in Gym Pilates is chest breathing , it is an essential point for the practice of sport. You take deep breaths through your nose, the lungs fill with air and the rib cage inflates and opens as much as possible, then you breathe out for a long time through your mouth. The breaths are carried out while keeping the abdominal belt contracted, the bust and the pelvis are stabilized during the exercises.

What Are The Benefits of Pilates?

Pilates is a fitness method that allows you to refine your body while gaining flexibility and tone thanks to the sheathing of the whole body during exercises. It is the ideal sport to gently sculpt your body and find a flat stomach without straining too much and risking injury. Indeed, the exercises associated with Pilates breathing, allow all the muscles of the body to work in depth for better tone. 80% of Gym Pilates exercises are fitness. To have effective results and feel the benefits of Pilates, it is advisable to practice it about 2 to 3 times a week.

-Intermediate Level As soon as you have mastered the fundamentals of Pilates (chest breathing, abdominal belt, blocked chest, sheathing), using a Swiss ball to perform your exercises will allow you to use your muscles more. It allows them to work even more in depth by working on stability, balance and intensity.
