Doesn't quiet fit a 120mm Pannier Rack

I have just taken delivery of this item and although the product itself does seem ok, it doesn't give a solid hold when I fit it to my pannier rack.
My pannier rack is exactly 120mm wide with 10mm diameter bars, and despite the technical information stating 'Pannier rack width should be between 120 mm and 175 mm', and although the child seat does fix on, when tightened fully there is play between the pannier and the seat. It rocks all over the place.
I have had to pack out the joint (with some rubber strips) in order to get a good firm hold.
So, as I say, seems a good enough product for the price, but be wary if you have a 120mm wide pannier rack.
