There many kinds of buckles of this type on the market, you will probably also need to replace 2 parts of the damaged buckle (male and female). We chose to list a buckle which can be fastened on both sides, to avoid having to do any sewing.

Product was excellent, but my only gripe is that the postage cost as much as the item! So only good value if you can get to a store.
