We conduct tests to validate the components:fabrics, buckles, straps, foam padding, zips... For example, for a fabric:resistance to abrasion and tearing, colour fastness in UV light, resistance to washing, waterproofing... Then a test is conducted on the finished product replicating forces on the backpack over a number of years in order to check the strength of the assemblies:the backpack is weighted, then placed on a dummy which reproduces the movement of fast walking over thousands of cycles.

The warranty covers any defects to the backpack, excluding those resulting from normal wear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty will only be granted upon presentation of the receipt and the product. If the product is covered by warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged, free of charge. This sales warranty does not affect the statutory rights applicable in your country/state.

Quechua has conducted tests to simulate the ageing of its backpacks. These tests are conducted on the components, seams and finished product. Quechua and Decathlon use the results to guarantee the bags tested for a period of 10 years, starting from the date of purchase indicated on the receipt.
