TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

How do they stay comfy and fitted?

The semi-soft boot with 3D mesh is comfortable and stops too much moisture building up inside the skate. The new comfort foam and heel cushioning also make life more pleasant.
The "cuff" (the part of the boot that comes up your leg) is stiff and comes far enough up to hold your ankle in place. Along with the triple fastening system (laces, micro-metric buckle, and strap), it holds your ankle snugly.

Do you need to choose between glide quality and handling?

No, not with Oxelo. Decathlon's FIT500 inline skates glide along really nicely thanks to their aluminium frame (stiffer than a plastic frame transfers the skater's energy very well), ABEC 7 bearings, and new 80mm rubber wheels (80 A hardness to give you more grip and comfort).
The combination of the aluminium frame and the 80mm rubber wheels gives you a good balance between pushing and glide quality.
The frame can also take 84mm wheels.

How can you maintain/repair your skates?

You can replace parts or repair your skates using the after-sales parts available in store, online and at your local Decathlon store's workshop.
The parts you can change are the 80mm 80A or 80mm 84A wheels and the ABEC 7 or ABEC 9 bearings. The brake stoppers fit both the left and right foot.

How can you make your skates last longer?

To extend the lifespan of your skates after skating through water, dust or sand, take the wheels off, dry them and degrease the bearings with a dry cloth.

How can you make the wheels last longer?

It's normal to switch your wheels around because they don't wear out evenly. The reason? We often skate with our feet sloping slightly inwards when we push off and turn.
If you want to stop them wearing out, switch your wheels around (in pairs).

What is the maximum weight for these Oxelo Fit 500 skates?

These adult skates meet the EN 13843 class A standard (adult inline skate standard). This standard applies to "Roller sports equipment - inline skates" designed for a person weighing between 20kg and 100kg. This European standard defines the safety requirements and the specifications for the test methods, markings, and information provided by the manufacturer, with the aim of reducing the risk of injury.

How much do the Oxelo Fit 500 skates weigh?

2.8kg per pair in size 8.5.

How are our products tested?

All of our skates have been lab tested. These tests validate their compliance with the European standards for skates, as well as their resistance to wear.
As well as lab tests we do field tests - some measured and others based on the testers' opinions - to really put the product through its paces. The result is a tested, proven product.

FIT500 INLINE FITNESS SKATES- Size
D (United Kingdom) Used for 1 week or less
A nice pair of skates and they are very comfy. I ordered a size 8 which is my shoe size and going by the online size guide but they are a very tight fit, So i would recommend getting a half a size bigger or even an whole size bigger. Do these comes in a size 9?
Thanks
Good Choice For Beginners, Though Weak Shin Straps
Alkaline (United Kingdom) Used for 3 to 6 months
My first ever pair of rollerskates, good for a skate or simple commute to/from a destination (though definitely not for regular commutes as all rollerskates are very bulky). The wheels do have a bit of drag as you're going along, so it feels like you're decelerating rather quickly when you're not thrusting, though I guess this might be down to high expectations.

Other reviews have said the skates have worn quite quickly, mine have too after 6 months, but the wear is only superficial, the function is still fine. The only negative point is the straps which secure the skates to your lower shin are weak and prone to releasing during use, meaning sometimes you have to stop mid-skate to re-strap them.

Tip: buy a size that's 0.5 or 1 above your regular shoe size. I bought the same size as my regular shoe size and it was a wee bit too small.

Overall, good choice for beginners, decent price compared to competitors, would recommend.
Second pair I ordered, still too small

After ordering a first pair that was too small (when I had used the size calculator), I ordered an even bigger size and it was still too small.
