TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

How is the volume measured?

The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.

How do you adjust your rucksack?

1 - Loosen all straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps)
2 - Put the bag on
3 - Tighten the shoulder straps
4 - Adjust the load adjuster straps to suit you

How do you pack your rucksack?

Place your heavier items at the bottom. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep your waterproof jacket and/or fleece close to hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. The water bag will be placed in the compartment provided along the back and the water bottle in the external water pockets provided for this purpose.

Laboratory tested

We conduct lab tests to validate the following components of the bag: fabric, buckles, straps, foam, zips. For example, for a fabric, we test its resistance to abrasion and tearing, colour-fastness with UV rays and washing and its water-resistance. We also carry out tests to check the resistance of assemblies by carrying out accelerated reproductions of the wear and tear on a bag over the years on a mannequin that reproduces the movement of a hiker.

A score for comparing the products' environmental impact

The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifespan, using various indicators. Light, plenty of room, good for communing or ligh adventure (it has a laptop sleeve which is useless and takes up space if you actually use it for proper hiking). The rain cover is a plus that would be additional 5-6 pounds so great that is included.

In theory great bag

I have used this bag for two trips. One in winter and the other in summer. During the summer trip I was wearing thinner layers so noticed just how uncomfortable this bag is. The bar at the top is really uncomfortable when hiking (or just generally wearing) as it digs into the neck no matter what adjustments are made. I dont think I noticed during my short winter trip as I was wearing much thicker layers and only wore it for a few hours at most. I recommend you fill the bag with items from the shop (if/when you can) and walk around with it on before buying. Unfortunately this bag was not for me despite all the positives it has to offer.
