TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS

Sole Grip

Sole design that has been the subject of extensive research in our laboratories, combined with a specific rubber formulation to optimise grip and traction. Because all needs are different, we always search for the best compromise for muddy and dry terrain.

Purchase advice

Let your child try on both boots, standing up, with the socks used for hiking. Check the following two areas of comfort: the heel and the front of the foot when going downhill. There should be no compression points when fitting. Do not hesitate to make your child walk in them. Gradually increase the amount of time they wear the shoes during the first walks to break the shoes in.
On the internet, you can print the pedometer and check your child’s foot length.

Which size should you choose?

For hiking, do not hesitate to choose one size above your usual size to ensure optimal comfort when going downhill and prevent your toes from hitting the front of the shoe. Advice: keep your nails short and, before making your descent, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding towards the front of the shoe.

Field test

The comfort of all our shoes is tested when trying them on and in use by typical users under the real-life conditions you will encounter in use. Our Mission Tests bring together the product manager with people who are not affiliated with Quechua to test, develop and approve the products.

Laboratory test

Further laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of sole and upper components, accelerated ageing.
