The warmest fleece: long pile and with a density of 300g/sqm
Polyester knit: lets through water vapour generated by the body
Fleece resistant to abrasion and pilling
Ease of use

Fleece component: Insulation provided by air
The fleece component is designed to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture. This air acts as a natural insulator, keeping the body warm. It is the brushing of the knit fabric that traps the air.
Component resistance test
Resistance to wear and abrasion test: for example, we check that fleeces do not pill using tests conducted in laboratories. Colour retention test: the colour-fastness is verified to ensure that the colours cannot bleed. Ageing test: repeated washing should not affect the fabric's properties, behaviour, thickness or appearance.
To preserve the thermal insulation of your products over time, our experts recommend that you follow the instructions on the label inside the garment. We recommend that you avoid harsh chemicals such as bleach, which can affect the thermal insulation of your sports textiles.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
Décathlon is the first French company to have implemented environmental scoring. This scoring has been developed with ADEME (Environment and Energy Management Agency) as well as other French companies. It allows products’ environmental impact to be assessed using a scale ranging from A to E, A being the best score.
