What is a longboard for?

Longboards are longer than ordinary skateboards. Their wheels are bigger and softer, making them more comfortable to ride. It's easier to pick up speed and you don't notice bumps as much because the soft wheels absorb vibrations. Basically, it's the perfect skateboard for short journeys around town and for casual rides. And as well as being fun, it's an eco-friendly means of transport.

Wheels & bearings

Wheel composition: polyurethane.
Dimensions: 70 mm (good stability).
Hardness: 78A (soft wheels designed for comfort and traction; not suitable for slides).
ABEC 7 bearings.

Trucks (to mount the wheels)

Aluminium trucks with reverse pivot.
Polyurethane bushings (92A hardness).
Because the trucks are reversed, longboards are more flexible when turning.

I've been using this for around a year now, and haven't touched any of my other boards since.
I did change the bushings to give it a bit more maneuverability, but in all fairness I never gave the original ones a chance to see if they settled-in, so they may have been fine.
It's a lovely smooth ride, especially if you get to give it a go on that lovely smooth shop floor!

Buy this you will not be disappointed. I've not been on a skateboard in years, this is easy to ride. Tic tac easily if you want or just push. Great value for money
