Jusy bought my 4th pair of these Active Grip shoes. Apart from one pair that suffered a premature demise due to accidental encounter with a bonfire , previous pairs have outlasted shoes costing three times as much.
I only rack up fifteen to twenty miles a week but they are cross country miles and l run all year round.
This style of shoe is the only one l have used for several years . They may be fairly basic but I've yet to have a pair suffer from the sort of early delamination of the soles that condemned more expensive brands to the bin,often after just a few weeks .
My high star rating takes into account the balence between performance and value for money .
I'm a size 10 to 10.5 UK but need a size 11 in these shoes.
The single skin mesh uppers will ensure you get damp feet every time you run in wet conditions . On the other hand they also make it easy for water to escape, and aid drying at home.
Grip is good on most surfaces most of the time but take care on wet tracks that slope to one side ; you could end up going downhill sideways!
On my pairs the first sign of wear has always been holes appearing in the mesh uppers. Perhaps l should cut my toenails more ofter:) .
Even then , thanks to the integrity of the soles , the shoes still have plenty of usable life left. I aim to get up to 18 months use out of each pair but they are not pretty by the end. Also my shoes are reserved only for running. They are not worn out by driving or being worn round the house.
They may not suit everyone as well as they do me but l bought my first pair with low expectations due to the low spec and price ,but was pleasantly surprised!
Buy cheap ,expect the worse,and be pleasantly surprised!

Great pair of shoes. I am a size 10 and went for a size 10.5 (UK sizes). I would recommend going half a size up for a nice comfortable fit.

I have had a pair of these for a while now. They were the green model that has been replaced by this colour. Great running shoes and great value. I run 3 tines a weeks for between 45 and 60 minutes and have found them really comfortable. I am a UK size 10 but Decathlon are European sizes and there is no 10 so I wear a 10 1/2 which is fine and I have had no problems. I would recommend these as a mid range pair of well made running shoes.

This is now my 3rd pair of these trainers. Cheap enough. Good styling. Love them
