SECURITY
Unlike what many people may think, a tamper-proof locks do not exist. A bike lock is there to make stealing the bike more complicated, to delay the thief and therefore act as a deterrent. A good lock has an anti-picking lock mechanism and is made out of materials requiring specific tools, therefore making theft more difficult.

THE B'SECURE CERTIFICATION
The B'SECURE certification is the only universal anti-theft certification, which helps you buy a lock that's suited to your use. We have defined a test protocol with an independent laboratory, the CNPP, based on real-life theft techniques. Using this unique protocol, each model can be given an anti-theft rating from 0 to 10. http://www.btwin.com/blog/fr/bsecure/

Rubbish Product
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
2nd time using it and it won't open , now need to buy a hacksaw (which I expect decathlon to pay for) to cut it off as we are away on holiday in our Caravan and can't travel home now.
Response of the brand
I'm sorry to read that your lock will not open. It is hard to say exactly why this happened. I hope you were able to remove it with ease.
If you feel the item is faulty, please return it to us for a refund or an exchange.

The padlock is alright, its easy to lock and unlock ur bike however it's not safe as I've had my bike that I've invested over £1000 into cut and robbed.
Response of the brand
Thank you for posting this review. I'm sorry to read that your bike was stolen.
We market this lock for accessories or for very short stops (a few minutes). For longer stops we always recommend a strong D or Chain lock with a rating greater than 7 out of 10.

Decathlon should not sell it.

Code stops working after 3 uses
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Worked first 3 times now my bike is stuck at tesco garage unable to unlock with my code. My husband has to walk a mile with a hacksaw to free it from this not fit for purpose lock. Looking at the reviews I'm not the first person to have this happen too. I've lost my receipt but I hope I will get a refund when I return in to store sawn in half?!
Response of the brand
I'm sorry to read that the lock has seized up. I will forward your experience on to the product manager at b'Twin.
There should not be an issue for a refund at all.
