Technical Informations

1
How to choose your inner tube
Check all the information indicated on the sidewall of the tyre (diameter and width). For example, 700x23 means that the tyre has a diameter of 700 mm and is 23 mm wide. On the sidewall of the tyre you will also find the dimensions in mm expressed in ETRTO international units. For example: 23-622 means a tyre that is 23 mm wide and with a 700 mm inner diameter (700x23).
2
Removing an inner tube
Remove the used inner tube using B'Twin tyre levers (item code 8047839).
3
What to check before installing your new inner tube
Check the condition of your tyre and replace it if necessary. Make sure no objects are lodged in the tyre. Check the condition of your tyre rim strip. A rim strip that is even slightly bent can cause punctures. Check that your rim does not have any other issues that could damage your inner tube.
4
Fitting your inner tube
Slightly pre-inflate the inner tube to avoid any risk of it being pinched. Insert the valve, making sure you are using the correct valve for your rim. Put the inner tube entirely inside the tyre so that it fits inside the rim. Take care not to pinch the inner tube when fitting.
5
Mounting the tyre
Start by mounting the tyre onto the wheel on the opposite side to the valve. Finish mounting the tyre at the valve to avoid pinching the inner tube. Never mount your tyre using a screwdriver or a tyre lever as you risk pinching and puncturing the inner tube.
6
Inflating the tyre
Inflate your tyre carefully to the pressure recommended by the manufacturer (visible on the sidewall of the tyre in PSI or bars, 1 bars = 14.51 PSI). Regularly check that your tyre is in the correct position as you inflate it.
7
Tip from the pros
To avoid punctures due to the inner tube being pinched, and to get the best performance out of your tyre, we recommend checking your tyre pressure and inflating it if necessary before each ride.

Burst again and again and again oh and again
Used for 1 week or less
I purchased 2 sets of these (So 4 tubes in total), each time I pumped them to the required PSI as stated BY decthalon on their products and each time the tube has burst after anything ranging from 20 minutes to 3 days. I have checked the tyre wall, tape etc and there are no flints etc. I initially thought my decathlon pump was faulty (gauge showing the wrong psi) but I am now 100% certain it is down to these poor quality tubes. Save yourself the hassle and do not buy these not matter how cheap they are.
Response of the brand
Thank you for your feedback regarding these innertubes. If you believe they are faulty please feel free to return them to us for a refund or exchange. It's worth checking if they burst in the same place. It is a torn seam. Is it a simple hole. Does it happen on the front and rear.

Response of the brand
Dear Sir,
Thank you for taking the time to post a review of these innertubes. Could you kindly reply to me with more information as I wish to forward this on to the product team in charge of this item at Decathlon Cycles. Was it a valve issue, tear on the seam or a puncture?
I look forward to hearing from you,
