Technical Informations

Maximum freedom of movement
The Tribord 900 women's wetsuit collection has a cut and materials that were specifically chosen to increase freedom of movement as much as possible and to make paddling easier. The entire wetsuit is made from ultra-stretch neoprene. All the seams are stretch seams.
Tribord 900 wetsuits are made from 100% ultra-stretch neoprene to ensure thermal insulation and ultra flexibility. The neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for added resistance to wear. Neoprene thickness: 3 and 2 mm. Neoprene is a closed-cell polychloroprene elastomeric foam with trapped nitrogen bubbles that have insulating properties. The flexibility of the 900 range is provided by the super-stretch properties of the foam and the textile.
How does neoprene work?
By trapping a thin layer of water around the body, a neoprene wetsuit works in two ways: 1. trapped water gradually heats up, 2. heat transfer decreases. The wetsuit and the thin covering of water form a layer of insulation.
Watertight assembly
The seams are stitched and glued to ensure a watertight seal and durability. The seams are "blind": the stitching does not pass through the entire thickness of the neoprene, which prevents water from passing. The absence of threads on the inside avoids irritation and chafing. Patches for comfort and reinforcement are strategically placed on the inside in sensitive areas. To further enhance the watertight seal and durability of the assembly of our 900 ranges, they are fully taped on the inside.
Key pocket
There is a key pocket at the back of the calf.
Back zip
The rear closure of our women's 900 models is the best configuration for the female body for fastening and taking off. The full-length flap ensures an optimum watertight seal.
Sizing and fit
A surfing wetsuit should be a very tight fit to ensure the best possible thermal efficiency. It is perfectly normal to have the impression it is too tight when trying it on in a fitting room or at home. This discomfort quickly disappears once the suit gets wet. We have put the zip at the back of the wetsuit for more comfort during surf sports (when lying down to paddle).
Multi-water sports wetsuits
Our wetsuits are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them compatible with other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, sea wading or SUP (stand up paddle boarding).
