Supinated or pronated grip? Supinated grip (palms towards you), pronated grip (palms facing forward)
With the two pull-up techniques, your arm muscles get an intense workout. The difference between pronated and supinated pull-ups is that the biceps work a lot more when doing supinated pull-ups, whereas the back works harder when doing pronated pull-ups.
What size bar should you choose?

Does what it says.
Easy to set up, secure once in place and holds the weight required without the need for the extra fixings. I suggest a solid wall either side of the door frame though, older weaker frames with old stud walls were less secure.
The family regularly hang and pull, so, result!
