Technical Informations

Laboratory tests
We carry out laboratory tests to check components: fabric, buckles, webbing, foam, zips, etc. Fabrics are tested for: resistance to wear, tearing, colour-fastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: the backpack is weighted then placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking through thousands of cycles.
10-year technical partnership guarantee
The heavy stitching research and development department, Quechua's partner for researching and testing its components and assemblies, conducted tests simulating backpack ageing. The tests focused on components, seams and the end product. As a result of these tests, Quechua can guarantee all bags tested for a duration of 10 years from the date of purchase indicated on the sales receipt.
10-year guarantee, conditions
The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year guarantee will only be granted upon presentation of the product and sales receipt. If the product is covered by the warranty, it will be repaired free of charge or exchanged. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
How to adjust your backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 - For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, the belt should be placed around the waist. 4 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
How to pack backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
Environmental measurements
The environmental impact of each product is calculated for the product's entire life cycle, using different indicators. A general ABCDE mark is attributed to help you identify the best environmental performance by comparing products to each other (t-shirts, rucksacks, etc). Decathlon volunteered to take part in this environmental display process. For more information, visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Just right for what I need to carry , my day commut .
Great all rounder
Used for More than 1 year
This has been everywhere with me since I bought it, day trips in city's and the countryside, hiking, work trips by train and bus, and day to day life.
The pockets make organisation easy and the cover is really handy. It's a great size for most uses and smart enough to not stand out. I must use it 5 days out of 7 and it's stood up really well to 18 months of busy life.
The only improvement I might make would be a waist strap to help balance it when full.
Good Backack
Used for 7 to 12 months
Second one of theses as the first was wrecked by mice when some food wa left inside. Great value and hard wearing, used mostly as a school bag so gets daily use and then a travel bag when we go away. Takes a lot of stuff and is hardwearing.
excellent back pack
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Spacious, lightweight, durable, lots of extra zippered pockets and a padded section inside for a small laptop or other devices. Got it to replace a very ancient pack I've been using for years for commuting and as my carry on on long flights. The back pack just took it's place on a flight and was even better than the old one. Very comfortable to wear when full, even for a small person.
Great commuter rucksac
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Fits my computer and enough stuff for the day. Also the rain cover is a life saver.
