Technical Informations

1
Laboratory tests
Backpack components are approved in laboratory tests, including:fabric, buckles, webbing, foam, zips, etc. Fabrics are tested for: resistance to wear, tearing, colour-fastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly:The backpack is weighted then placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking through thousands of cycles.
2
10-year technical partnership guarantee
The heavy stitching research and development department, Quechua's partner for researching and testing its components and assemblies, conducted tests simulating backpack ageing. The tests focused on components, seams and the end product. As a result of these tests, Quechua can guarantee all bags tested for a duration of 10 years from the date of purchase indicated on the sales receipt.
3
10-year guarantee, conditions
The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year guarantee will only be granted upon presentation of the product and sales receipt. If the product is covered by the warranted, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.
4
How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
5
How to adjust your backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 - For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, the belt should be placed around the waist. 4 -Tighten the shoulder straps. 5 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
6
How to pack backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Place heavy gear (tent, camp stove, food) near your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
7
Environmental measurements
The environmental impact of the product is calculated over the product's complete lifespan according to various indicators. A general mark ABCDE is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing similar products to each other (t-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc). Decathlon's environmental display approach is voluntary. For more information visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Best backpack I've ever had, period!
Used for 1 week or less
the quality, load balancing, design, color, price, delivery... everything is awesome about this bag
Good bag, good value.
Used for 3 to 6 months
Overall we are very happy with these (we bought 2). However disappointed that for some reason the pole loops have gone missing on both bags. Seems like an issue with the design. I'm hoping Decathlon will do the right thing and give us replacements.
Sturdy, robust, perfect for hiking or school
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Bought as a school rucksack for my teenage son, who carries a lot of books, rugby kit, etc. Comfy and hard wearing.
Good value for money, a bit big for commuting
Used for 1 week or less
Good value for money for a 30L backpack.
Although I ended up exchanging it for the smaller 20L pack, as the 30L was too big for general day to day use commuting to the office. Nice discrete colours for urban use :-)
It is outdoor bag
Used for 7 to 12 months

As a newly appointed cub leader I was recommended this backpack by my grown up son.
This item has many pockets/pouches and a large main body , ideal for my many items needed on a day hike or a weekend camp.
Many thanks
