Technical Informations

1
10-year guarantee
Our Quechua walking backpacks are guaranteed for 10 years. Our commitment? To offer you long-lasting products that you can use on all your country walks. Because the products we like the most are those with a story behind them that is still continuing! The guarantee covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use.
2
How is volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
3
How do I adjust my backpack?
1 - Loosen all the straps (straps, hip belt, load adjuster straps). 2 - Put the backpack on. 3 – Tighten the shoulder straps. 4 - Adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
4
How do I pack my backpack?
Place your heavier items at the bottom. Pack your clothes around these items. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses, etc.) in the pockets. If you have a water bag, this should be placed in the pocket provided for this, which is along the back. Place your water bottle in the external pockets provided specifically for this.
5
Laboratory Testing
We carry out laboratory tests to validate all elements: fabric, buckles, straps, foam and zips. For example, for fabric: resistance to wear, tearing, colour-fastness under UV rays, washing, waterproofing. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the assembly: the backpack is weighted then placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking over thousands of cycles.
6
A score for comparing the products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire lifespan, using various indicators. A general score from A to E is provided in order to easily identify the most eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products. Web: sustainability.decathlon.com Explanatory video: https://youtu.be/8t63KkRwn_8

Test Product
It is in France, at the foot of the Mont Blanc, that our design team imagined, thought up and designed the Quechua products. We test them in the field with other hikers to make sure that they are comfortable and durable. Brittany, Corsica... We headed out onto as many different terrains as possible, in all weather conditions. These experiences were highly beneficial for us, allowing us to hear your feedback and start thinking about our future collections!

Stockage Tips
Store the backpack in a dry place.

Best backpack I've ever had, period!
Used for 1 week or less
the quality, load balancing, design, color, price, delivery... everything is awesome about this bag
Great bag at a great price
Used for More than 1 year
I have had this bag for well over a year now and I use it regularly as a day bag for hiking.
I have used it in all weathers, most recently a very wet and windy day and everything inside was perfectly dry (I did use the rain cover provided).
There is plenty of space and all the pockets keep smaller items in the right place (Keys, wallet, Passport, boarding card, phone).
The pocket at the bottom is great for a jacket and I can fit a days food, my DSLR camera with additional lens, water bladder and iPad inside all safe and secure.
The water proof cover is a great addition and the fact it is not attached to the bag means you can dry it off separately at the end of your adventure.
I only have one small issue, when I adjust the straps to get the load as close to my back as I like, the carry handle on the top pushes on my neck. This results in me having to have the straps slightly looser than normal. I feel like the bag does not need this handle.
A few fabric loops on the front of the bag would be a good addition as well for clipping small items like cups onto.
These tiny issues apart I love the bag and it is a fantastic price.
Another excellent value backpack
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Another excellent value backpack from Decathlon. Great value and quality. Lots of pockets and very comfortable on the back and shoulders. Recommended.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Used for 7 to 12 months
I had this bag since 04/18 and used it almost every day as my gym bag. Over all its very nice bag and perfectly satisfies my need. It’s comfortable mostly, The base is not great since if you have to put it down in a train or bus it does= not stay on its base it falls to one side since base is soft and not even.

The Bad and the Ugly; through winter time I used this bag and on top of my coat, which I really liked, but lately I noticed the material at the back of the bag is not wool coat friendly. The natural heap movement of walking caused bag to rub the lover back section of the coat . The friction created by the mash material and bumpy structure of the bag’s back has eaten away the coats material made it all fluffy and even there is a hole on the effected section now. Unfortunately I did not notice it until it’s too late, now my brand new coat is not usable at all. The product does not warn user for using it with a wool coat at all.
Promised much. Delivered little

Good price. Nice style. Decent features. Terrible to use. I’m a standard 5’10” regular bloke with a low to average BMI. Carrying this bag half full with supermarket shopping 2 miles left a sore spot (line) where the cross bar of the straps pulls weirdly down on your back. Had less pain climbing Denali with 25kg :) Would return but had used a day and live 80 miles from a store. Had to cut the strap connecting piece and duck tape it. Not best pleased. Good job it was cheap. Sadly only fit for carrying air around the shops
Good bag, good value.
Used for 3 to 6 months
Overall we are very happy with these (we bought 2). However disappointed that for some reason the pole loops have gone missing on both bags. Seems like an issue with the design. I'm hoping Decathlon will do the right thing and give us replacements.
Sturdy, robust, perfect for hiking or school
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Bought as a school rucksack for my teenage son, who carries a lot of books, rugby kit, etc. Comfy and hard wearing.
Good value for money, a bit big for commuting
Used for 1 week or less
Good value for money for a 30L backpack.
Although I ended up exchanging it for the smaller 20L pack, as the 30L was too big for general day to day use commuting to the office. Nice discrete colours for urban use :-)
It is outdoor bag
Used for 7 to 12 months
Very nice very conf.
Great rucksack
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Bought this for my daughter and she tells me that it's perfect for her. Very comfortable even when full.
